Welcome to a new Skål Guernsey Year!
A lot of enthusiasm and optimism was expressed at our AGM for the forthcoming year and everyone was delighted at the election of Juliette as our new President.
”At the last AGM I was delighted to accept the honourable role for President of The Guernsey Skål Club. I was welcomed into Skål in 2006 and have been an active member for the last four years taking on responsibilities as Treasurer and Vice President.
I have two children and a very supportive husband who I’m sure you all know! I have been involved in Tourism for the last sixteen years and although I am now semi-retired I still manage our self-catering business which keeps me busy. After Nick and I purchased an old Guernsey property in 1995 we had the idea to in some way contribute to Local Guernsey Tourism. The property was in need of complete restoration and had been left derelict for some-time. As Nick being a very competent builder and my previous business in soft furnishing, we transformed Maison Bel Air into a very successful Four Star Guest House and Self-Catering business.
During the winter months we most look forward to our holidays especially in Thailand which we visit yearly. Travel has always been a great interest of ours and since the Austrailian Congress in 2009 we hope to take part in more International Congresses in the coming years.
I look forward to working alongside you all for the good of The Skål Club and I feel privileged to be your President. Thank you all for your support.”
